KLM on 1 November launched flights to its eighth US destination, Miami

The SkyTeam member will operate flights to the Floridian city from Amsterdam (AMS) thrice-weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) on its A330-200s. The seasonal route is a return to Miami for KLM, with it having last served the airport in 2011. Five years ago the airline operated four weekly flights on its MD-11s. “We welcome KLM and its award-winning service back to Miami,” said Miami-Dade Aviation Director Emilio González. “Its thrice-weekly flights to Amsterdam will provide more options for travellers between our two busy markets, and further expand our growing network throughout Europe.” The 7,438-kilometre link will face no direct competition. KLM also serves Atlanta, Chicago O’Hare, Houston Intercontinental, Los Angeles, New York JFK, San Francisco and Washington Dulles in the US.
