AB Aviation (Y6, Moroni Int'l) has begun jet operations following the arrival of a B737-200Adv. - ZS-EVE (msn 22123) - on lease from South Africa's Gryphon Airlines SA (Y3, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) in June.
The aircraft is currently used on the Comorian operator's Antananarivo and Dar-es-Salaam services.
AB Aviation was founded in 2011 following the demise of Air Service Comores (KMD, Moroni Int'l) and Comores Aviation (O5, Moroni Int'l). Aside from the B737, it also operates two EMB-120RTs (leased from Sahara African Aviation (Nelspruit)), two Cessna (single turboprop) Grand Caravan 208Bs, and a Let 410 on charter flights as well as regular flights to Anjouan and Moheli locally as well as Antananarivo, Dar es Salaam, Dzaoudzi, and Majunga regionally.
