In 2016, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) produced 22 and delivered 28 Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ 100) regional aircraft, OEM’s spokesperson told Russian Aviation Insider. Both numbers exceeded 2015 results by five aircraft and three deliveries, respectively. The manufacturer also outperformed its production target – the assembly plan for the last year was 20 aircraft.

SCAC earlier reported that it had delivered 16 aircraft to customers in the first three quarters of 2016. Consequently, the majority of deliveries – 12 aircraft – took place in the fourth quarter.

The Russian manufacturer did not disclose the recipients of the 28 aircraft. In 2016, following carriers took delivery of SSJ 100s (including the re-marketed aircraft) – Aeroflot, Yamal Airlines, Yakutia Airlines, IrAero, Rossiya Special Flight Squadron, Irish carrier CityJet and Mexican InterJet, Kazakhstan’s Boarder Patrol and Royal Thai Air Force.

Plan for 2017 includes at least 12 aircraft – these are scheduled to be delivered to Aeroflot Group before the end of the year.
The deliveries of SSJ 100 started five years ago. As of January 2017, over 100 SSJ 100 were in commercial operations all over the world.
