China Southern to use first B777-300(ER)s to launch JFK route

China Southern Airlines plans to use its first of ten B777-300(ER)s to launch a new four times weekly service linking its Guangzhou hub with New York JFK beginning August 6. The aircraft, B-2099 (msn 43219), is due for delivery from Boeing in February. By the end of 2014, China Southern expects to be operating five B777-300(ER)s that will complement the eight B777-200s and eight B777-F freighters it already operates.
