Asiana Airlines has expanded its presence in Europe with the launch of a fifth destination

Asiana Airlines has expanded its presence in Europe with the launch of a fifth destination. On 30 June, the Star Alliance carrier launched thrice-weekly flights on the 8,961-kilometre route from Seoul Incheon (ICN) to Rome Fiumicino (FCO). The service will be operated by the carrier’s 777-200s. Competition on the route comes from Alitalia and Korean Air, who both also operate thrice-weekly. Asiana becomes the latest Asian carrier to serve the Italian capital, following the likes of Air China, Air India, Cathay Pacific Airways, China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, SriLankan Airlines and Thai Airways.
