Special Aircraft “JAL Happy Journey Express” to Begin Flights in Japan

Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) and Oriental Land Co., Ltd. (Oriental Land) announced a collaboration for the Tokyo DisneySea special program “Journeys with Duffy: Your Friend Forever.” The specially painted aircraft “JAL Happy Journey Express” (Boeing 737-800 series) will begin domestic flights starting July 14, 2015. The aircraft will feature an illustration of Duffy the Disney Bear, a Tokyo DisneySea character, on its exterior.

JAL, an official sponsor of Tokyo DisneySea Park since it opened, and Oriental Land developed this plan specifically to mark the ten years since Duffy’s debut at Tokyo DisneySea Park. Guests are sure to enjoy flying on this unique Duffy-decorated aircraft.

Note: The Tokyo DisneySea special program “Journeys with Duffy: Your Friend Forever” offers the opportunity to look back on happy moments with Duffy, the Disney Bear, who made his debut at Tokyo DisneySea Park ten years ago. This special program also provides a way to strengthen the ties Guests feel for him. To mark this milestone year, about 50 types of special merchandise and food will be available at Tokyo DisneySea and Park decorations will feature ribbons and flags.

Program Period: July 3, 2015, to March 18, 2016.

To add to the enjoyment of the flight, there will be original clear files for children and postcards of the “JAL Happy Journey Express” in the postcard rack.

A promotional campaign will take place starting July 11 and ending September 23. Passengers flying twice on JAL Group domestic routes during this period will be eligible to win a “JAL Happy Journey Express” model plane, an invitation for two to the Tokyo DisneySea Private Evening Party or other prizes.
Furthermore, JALPAK will offer tours that include various benefits, such as complimentary transportation on the Magical Fantasy shuttle bus between Haneda Airport and Tokyo Disney Resort, that are exclusive to official corporate sponsors.
