Emirates Airline (EK) has taken delivery its 63rd and 64th Airbus A380 Superjumbos, with names of "Oscar Kilo" and "Oscar Lima", the gulf carrier announced via its official Facebook account on July 21.
The two A380s, Registration A6-EOK and A6-EOL, were delivered to the airline on July 14 and July 16.
Emirates operated a one-off service of its latest A380 Superjumbo "Oscar Lima" to Taiwan on July 19, marking the first A380 landing at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE).
Emirates' A380 is configured with a classic three-cabin layout with 14 Private Suites in First Class, 76 full-flat bed seats in Business Class and 399 seats in Economy Class. Passengers throughout all classes can also enjoy access to over 2,000 channels of films, TV shows, music and games through ice, the airline's award-winning in-flight entertainment system as well as free Wi-Fi connectivity and gourmet cuisine.
As the world's largest operator of the double-decker aircraft, Emirates fleet of 64 A380s serves 34 global destinations and 11 in the Far East, which include Auckland, Bangkok, Beijing, Brisbane, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Perth, Seoul, Singapore, Shanghai and Sydney.
