Cambodia Bayon Airlines (BD), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), launched a daily flight between Cambodian capital Phnom Penh and Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City Wednesday, marking the first international flight.

Starting July 1, the low-cost carrier started to operate daily flights from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh, using China-made Modern Ark 60 (MA60). The outbound flight BD811 is scheduled to depart Phnom Penh at 11:20 a.m. and arrive in Vietnam at 12:15 p.m., with the return flight BD812 leaving Ho Chi Minh at 1:00 p.m. and landing in Phnom Penh at 1:45 p.m. The flight between Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh takes about 50 minutes.

Cambodia Bayon Airlines, China's first overseas company mainly operating China-made aircraft., commenced domestic operations in late December. The airline will operate regional routes within Cambodia and ASEAN, as well as trunk routes from Cambodia to China, Japan, South Korea, etc. It is committed to being one of the mainstream airlines in ASEAN.
