Two New B777 Freighter Joins China Southern

Two new B777 freighters added to China Sothern's freighter fleet on June 27. By the end of this July, China Southern will welcome its 12th B77F, which making the biggest B77F fleet in China, and the 3rd in the world (14 freighters including 12 B77 and 2 74F).

The new freighters will be put into operation in early July on the routes from China to Europe and U.S. Guangzhou-Los Angeles-Guangzhou route will be added to 4 times per week, and Guangzhou-Paris-Vienna-Guangzhou will be increased to 3 times weekly. China Southern has launched Guangzhou-London-Frankfurt-Guangzhou and Guangzhou-Paris-Vienna-Guangzhou Freighter routes on 20 and 21 this month.


China Southern has been positioning more freighters in Guangzhou this year, making Guangzhou another cargo hub besides Shanghai. The inauguration of more freighter lanes and fights will further extend the transporting channel between Guangzhou and abroad. By improving network and providing more convenient transportation, China Southern will give impetus to the Free Trade Zone development in Guangdong. According to China Southern, the 5 destinations in Europe serving from Guangzhou are Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Vienna, Paris and London, which basically covering the whole Europe. By adding the Guangzhou-Los Angeles v.v. freighter lane, we altogether have 17 flights weekly from Guangzhou to Europe and U.S., an air corridor connecting Pearl River Delta and abroad has already taken shape.

By far China Southern has launched 14 freighter routes with weekly 37 flights taking off from Guangzhou and Shanghai, connecting domestic stops like Chongqing and Tianjin, reaching overseas destinations like Paris, London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Chicago and Vancouver.
