Ruili Airlines to Expand Fleet to 56 by the End of 2025

China's start-up carrier Ruili Airlines (DR) is expected to own a fleet of 56 aircraft by the end of 2025, said Ma Zhanwei, president of Ruili Airlines in an interview on Aug. 31.

As of Aug. 31, 2015, Ruili Airlines operates six aircraft in total, consisting of five Boeing 737-700s and one 737-800. One new aircraft is scheduled to take delivery by this year end.

Now the Kunming-based airline operates 34 flights daily on 12 domestic routes to 17 destinations, covering Yunnan, Sichuan, Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Hubei, Guangxi provinces, Tianjin and Chongqing. Since its maiden flight on May 18, 2014, Ruili Airlines has served over 10 thousand flights and over 12.5 million passengers and achieved over 900 million yuan in revenue, accounting 3.4% market share in Yunnan Province.

What's more, the airlines took the top spot in passenger load factor (PLF) and revenue per ASK among five base airlines at Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG). Its PLF stood at 88.32%, 2.04 percentage points higher than the average level of 86.28%.
