Rossiya provisionally ends B777-200 operations


Rossiya has provisionally ended regular B777-200(ER) operations following the withdrawal from service of its last aircraft of the type last week.

According to Skyliner Aviation, VP-BLA (msn 28676) was ferried from Moscow Vnukovo to Teruel, Spain on February 2. At 17.5 years of age, VP-BLA features two Pratt & Whitney PW4090 motors and is owned by Castlelake.


A unit of Aeroflot Group, Rossiya's widebody fleet currently entails sixteen B747-400s, five B777-300s, and five B777-300(ER)
They are deployed on Rossiya flight-numbered long-haul flights from Moscow Vnukovo to each of Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Phuket in Thailand and Goa in India as well as to Adler/Sochi, Khabarovsk, Magadan, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Simferopol, Vladivostok, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk for and on behalf of Aeroflot.
