IndiGo on 1 March extended its domestic footprint by adding Dehradun (DED) to its network. On that day, the LCC began thrice-daily non-stop flights on the short 208-kilometre route from Delhi (DEL) using its A320s. The route is already served by Jet Airways (20 weekly flights), SpiceJet (13 weekly flights) and Alliance Air (12 weekly flights). IndiGo now serves 32 destinations with non-stop service from Delhi, of which only two are outside of India (Dubai and Kathmandu). Overall, Dehradun becomes the 40th airport served by India’s largest domestic airline.
