Himalaya Airlines, a China-Nepal joint venture, operated a VIP charter flight from Kathmandu to Beijing, China this weekend.
The Airbus 320-214 aircraft, Registration 9N-ALM, with a Nepalese government delegation led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, landed at Beijing Capital International Airport on March 20.
The start-up recently took delivery of its first aircraft at the beginning of this month. The aircraft was delivered to Kathmandu from Chengdu, China and was taken on a lease from Tibet Airlines.
Himalaya Airlines plans to begin scheduled passenger flights to Delhi and Doha on April 12 with additional regional destinations to follow during the rest of the year.
