Etihad Airways and TAP Air Portugal enter into codeshare agreement

Etihad Airways and TAP Air Portugal have agreed a strategic codeshare agreement, which will come into operation from December 5, 2023, enabling passengers of both airlines to enjoy greater connectivity across a range of destinations within their respective networks.
The agreement allows passengers to streamline their travel by making a single booking with a single check-in process at the beginning and the added convenience of having their baggage transferred seamlessly to their final destination.
This partnership will provide Etihad’s customers with easy one-stop access to a variety of destinations across the TAP network. These include iconic cities such as Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil, as well as San Francisco and Miami in the USA.

“This partnership offers our customers convenient access to 26 of TAP’s fantastic leisure and business destinations. Equally, it expands the options available to TAP customers traveling from Europe to Abu Dhabi, offering them the opportunity to explore the welcoming hospitality and rich culture of our home, and connect seamlessly to a selection of our destinations in the GCC and the Seychelles,” commented Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue Officer.
“The codeshare agreement between TAP Air Portugal and Etihad adds diversity and quality to the travel experience that both airlines offer their customers, said TAP Chief Revenue Officer Mario Cruz.
The agreement follows the start of Etihad’s non-stop services to Lisbon earlier this year and enables both Etihad and TAP customers to connect to each other’s network through Frankfurt and London Heathrow
