Air China Postpones BeijingJohannesburg Service to Late October


Air China (CA) further postponed the launch of its nonstop Beijing Johannesburg
service to late October, more than four months after its initial schedule on June 18, 2015,
Airline Route reported.
The airline will operated three flights a week, codesharing
with SAA.
This is the airline's third attempt to launch flights to South Africa.
Its initial launch date was postponed to August 30 earlier this year due to the outbreak of xenophobic violence and the new visa regulations. In late May, Air China was reported to delay the Johannesburg service by two month to October 25.
Now, the BeijingJohannesburg service is set to commerce on October 29, according to Airline Route.
The flag carrier is scheduled to operate the service three times a week, with the outbound flight CA867 departing from Beijing at 11:15 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and
arriving in Johannesburg at 7:55 a.m. on the following day.
The Airline will deploy the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the longhaul service.
