Myanmar National Airlines (which formerly operated under the name Myanma Airways) on 17 August launched its first international service from Yangon (RGN) to Singapore (SIN). The 1,930-kilometre route will be operated six times weekly by the carrier’s recently acquired, factory-fresh 737-800. Competition is pretty intense as the route is already flown by Jetstar Asia (10 times weekly), Myanmar Airways International (daily), SilkAir (daily), Singapore Airlines (daily) and Tigerair Singapore (daily).
