First Flying (Japan) commences Twin Otter operations

First Flying (Okinawa Naha) commenced DHC-6-400 revenue operations earlier this month following the phasing out of its last remaining Britten-Norman Islander on July 31.

According to the ZipanguFlyer blog, First Flying's maiden Twin Otter route - Okinawa Naha–Aguni - launched on August 2 with plans to deploy the turboprop on flights from Ishigaki to Hateruma and Taramajima effective December 1.

First Flying inherited its Islanders from RAC - Ryukyu Air Commuter (RAC, Okinawa Naha) in 2009 to service its Okinawa-Okino Erabu-Tokunoshima route.
