SATA Internacional has taken official delivery of its first A330-200 - CS-TRY (cn 970) - following maintenance works at Madrid Barajas. The aircraft is part of a trio of A330s that will replace the airline's current longhaul backbone, the A310-300 of which it has three.
The aircraft's inaugural commercial service - Lisbon to Boston via Ponta Delgada on March 27 - is also expected to herald SATA's rebranding into Azores Airlines
