SpiceJet has expanded its international network with the introduction on 16 February of two new routes to Dubai

The LCC will serve the UAE hub from Hyderabad (HYD) with daily 737-800s flights and face major competition from Emirates (three daily flights), Air India and IndiGo (both daily flights) and flydubai (five weekly flights). On the other new route from Jaipur (JAI) to Dubai, which SpiceJet will serve five times weekly, competition will be provided by Air India Express’ four weekly flights. In total SpiceJet will now serve Dubai from 10 Indian airports. Ms. Shilpa Bhatia, SVP Commercial, SpiceJet, said: “We see huge potential, especially from non-metro cities such as Jaipur, waiting to be unlocked and over the years we have also witnessed a resurgence in demand on the Hyderabad-Dubai route from business and leisure travellers alike. Dubai is a key market in increasing our footprint across the Middle East and with these flight launches we aim to provide our customers with better and more convenient travel options.”
