Iberia Regional, operated by Air Nostrum, commenced two scheduled services from Badajoz (BJZ) on 18 February, marking its return to the Spanish city close to the Portuguese border. Unsurprisingly, the city has been linked to Madrid (MAD) and Barcelona (BCN), with a five times weekly link to the capital, as well as four times weekly operation to Catalonia, both flown by the airline’s 50-seat CRJ 200s. According to a press release on the Spanish regional airline’s website the first day of flying operated with a 59% overall load factor, including a 100% load on the first Badajoz to Barcelona sector.
Iberia Regional experienced some great passenger figures on the first day of flying from Badajoz to Madrid and Barcelona on 18 February, including a 100% load on the first sector from the Spanish city to Catalonia.
