A Tianjin Airlines (GS) aircraft performing flight GS6629 took off smoothly from Tianjin Binhai International Airport (TSN) at 6:00 p.m. on May 15, marking the successful launch of the scheduled Tianjin-Osaka international service. Meanwhile, Tianjin Airlines opened two international services from Xi'an to Osaka and Shizuoka on May 15 and May 16, respectively, as it accelerates its overseas expansion pace.
Currently, the Tianjin-based carrier has formed the international route network based on Tianjin and Xi'an, reaching to Japan's Osaka, Sapporo, Hakodate, Okinawa and Shizuoka, South Korea's Seoul and Jeju, Thailand's Bangkok and Taichung. Tianjin Airlines is now operating 11 regional and international services, seven of which are headed toward Japan, accounting for more than half of the total.
The Tianjin-Osaka service, with flight number GS6629/30, is operated twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, using Airbus A320 aircraft. The outbound flight is scheduled to take off from TSN at 6:00 p.m. and arrive at Osaka Kansai International Airport (KIX) at 8:25 p.m., with the return flight departing from KIX at 9:25 p.m. and landing in Tianjin at 0:15 a.m. the next day (all Beijing time).
