Virgin Australia (VA, Brisbane Int'l) says that during its 2015/15 Financial Year which ended on June 30, it converted seventeen of its B737-800 delivery slots with Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare) to B737 MAX variants. The change now leaves the Australian carrier with forty B737 MAX scheduled for delivery from 2018 onwards.
The seventeen B737-800s affected by the change were to have been delivered through the 2015, 2016 and 2017 financial years Australian Aviation News reports.
