China Southern to Fly A380 on Beijing-Chengdu Route from July 1

China Southern Airlines is set to operate its Airbus A380 superjumbo on the Beijing-Chengdu route (CZ6183/4) between July 1 and October 24, sources familiar with the matter said on Monday.

The Guangzhou-based carrier operates the Beijing-Chengdu service every day. Flight CZ6183 is scheduled to take off from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) at 11:10 a.m. and arrive in Chengdu at 2:20 p.m., with the return flight CZ6184 leaving Chengdu at 4:50 p.m. and landing in Beijing at 7:40 p.m.

As the only Chinese airline to order and operate the A380 aircraft, the Guangzhou-based carrier currently has five A380s in its fleet, which mainly serve Guangzhou-Beijing, Beijing-Shenzhen, Guangzhou-Los Angeles and Guangzhou-Sydney services.
