JAL - Japan Airlines (JL, Tokyo Haneda) took delivery of its first B787-9, JA861J (msn 35422), last week ahead of the type's deployment into scheduled operations on the Tokyo Narita-Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta route on July 1.
The Japanese carrier, which has twenty of the type on order from Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare), also operates over twenty of the smaller B787-8 variant.
