The Taiwan-based carrier is set to fly its distinctive Hello Kitty-themed 777, Registration B-16722, "Shining Star" to Houston on June 19, with three flights weekly before increasing that to four weekly on July 1.
Starting June 21, the exclusive "Shining Star" themed Hello Kitty jet, will fly permanently between Taipei and Singapore. Singapore is the first country to host the EVA Air Hello Kitty jet for South-east Asia.
EVA Air currently has six other Hello Kitty jets flying around the world -- from Taiwan to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Guam, and the United States -- each with a distinctive design.
"Shining Star" is the last EVA Air Hello Kitty Jet. Quoting the CEO of the airline, "We do not want to become Kitty Air". The jet has 333 seats - 39 in business class, 56 in premium economy and 238 in economy.
