The average on-time performance of Chinese passenger airlines stood at 63.18% in May 2015, down 4.01 percentage points year on year, according to the data released by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
Urumqi Airlines (QU) took the top spot for the second consecutive months, with an on-time performance of 91.37%.
Qingdao Airlines (QW) took the second place with an on-time performance of 77.06% in May, which was over 13 percentage points better than the industry average.
Shenzhen Airlines (ZH) was ranked at the bottom of the list with only 45.38% of its flights operated on time in the past month.
Here are the regulator's rankings of the leading airlines and their on-time performance for May: Urumqi Airlines (91.37%), Qingdao Airlines (77.06%), Joy Air (76.28), Grand China Air (75.35%), Tianjin Airlines (74.84%), Kunming Airlines (73.25%), Shandong Airlines (72.77%), Juneyao Airlines (72.42%), Okay Airways (71.97%), Sichuan Airlines (71.41%) Air China (69.71%) and Lucky Air (69.42%).
