Beijing Capital Airlines, a regional subsidiary of HNA Group, is waiting government approval to launch a new international service from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province to Lisbon, Portugal with a stopover in Beijing from December 2016.
The Beijing-based carrier will operate the Hangzhou-Beijing-Lisbon service with two flights weekly, using Airbus A330 aircraft, according to an announcement released Monday on the website of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
The Air Transportation Department of CAAC is soliciting public comments on the application until 5:00 p.m. on May 30, 2016.
