VietJetAir has enhanced its domestic network with the addition on 12 May of a four times weekly service on the 1,213-kilometre route between Hai Phong (HPH) and Phu Quoc

No other carrier currently connects these two airports. The airport serving Hai Phong is known as Cat Bi International Airport and 12 May also marked the opening of the airport’s new terminal. As a result, VietJetAir will also soon be launching additional new services from the airport to Da Lat (20 May) and Buon Ma Thuot (2 June). This will bring to seven the number of destinations served by the airline from Hai Phong. According to the airline Hai Phong is a crucial aviation gateway, an industrial centre and the largest port in northern Vietnam. It is also an economic, cultural and commercial centre for the northern coastal region. The city has great potential for tourism with the UNESCO sea reservation area at Cat Ba Islands together with the Do Son Beaches and Resorts.
