United Airlines has scrapped an order with Airbus Industrie for six A319-100s and six A320-200s. In a statement issued to Bloomberg, parent United Continental Holdings Inc. said the aircraft, valued at USD1.078billion at list prices, were no longer required. The US carrier is a prominent operator of both types with fifty-five A319s and ninety-seven A320-200s.
