One less A340 in the skies as Conviasa retires its sole A340-200

Conviasa has retired its sole remaining A340-200, YV1004 (cn 31), from active service with the aircraft now parked in Bordeaux, destined to be scrapped. The Venezuelan carrier has now wet-leased B747-400 EC-LNA (msn 26346) for its long-haul routes to Buenos Aires Ezeiza and Madrid Barajas replacing an A330-200 previously wet-leased from Jordan Aviation.
Conviasa plans to acquire three A330s at some point in the future.
