NEW MODEL IN THE FLEET - Modern Logistics takes first B737-800(BCF)

Modern Logistics (WD, Sao Paulo Guarulhos) took delivery of its first B737-800(BCF) on October 2, 2023.

2-BPDK (msn 33566) was ferried after storage at Haikou via Doha Hamad International, Malta International, and Sal Amilcar Cabral International to Sao Jose dos Campos over the course of September 30-October 2, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. It will be re-registered in Brazil as PP-YBF. The 19.2-year-old aircraft is owned by BBAM and was last in service, still in passenger configuration, with Ryanair. The aircraft was delivered to Brazil in full Modern Logistics livery.

Modern Logistics expects to take its second B737-800(BCF) in the second quarter of 2024 and is evaluating adding a further two going forward.

Modern Logistics to add first B737-300 freighters


Modern Logistics (WD, São Paulo Guarulhos) is set to acquire its maiden B737-300(F)s with PP-YBD (msn 24463) already having been acquired and currently being prepared for delivery to the Brazilian logistics specialist in Budapest and a second aircraft, a 29-year-old aircraft, N421AU, that recently was converted from Quick Change (QC) to a dedicated freighter by Coopesa in Costa Rica and has been leased from Automatic Leasing.

Modern Logistics operates two B737-400(F)s on scheduled and ad-hoc charter cargo flights throughout Brazil. Its scheduled network consists of Manaus, Brasilia, and Campinas Viracopos. To bolster its regional hubs, it is also planning to add ATR72 freighters at some point in the future.

2016-NEW AIRLINE:Brazil's Modern Logistics adds maiden aircraft




Modern Logistics (MWM, São Paulo Guarulhos) has taken delivery of its maiden aircraft, a B737-400(F) registered as PP-YBA (msn 24125). According to Skyliner Aviation, the former Mistral Air (M4, Rome Fiumicino) passenger jet turned freighter was ferried from Lakeland to Iguaçu Falls via Fort Lauderdale Int'l and Paramaribo Int'l last week.


The start-up plans to develop a freight network connecting all of Brazil's major hubs using a growing fleet of B737 and ATR72 freighters. While not officially announced, local reports indicate the carrier will primarily operate out of Campinas Viracopos (a key hub), Rio de Janeiro Int'l, Curitiba, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador and Brasilia.

Modern Logistics set for delivery of first freighter

Modern Logistics is set to take delivery of its first aircraft, a converted B737-400
On completion, B737-400(F) PP-YBA (msn 24683) will be ferried to South America where it will be used to develop a freight network connecting all of Brazil's major hubs. In the first five years of operation, the start-up estimates its fleet will grow to 40 freighters operating flights to 15 logistics hubs throughout the country.
