Orbest adds first A330neo
Orbest (Portugal) (6O, Lisbon) has taken delivery of its first A330-900 after CS-TKH (msn 1963) was positioned from Toulouse Blagnac to Lisbon on August 7. It features 388 seats in an all-economy setting.
The brand new widebody jet supplements the Portuguese leisure specialist's only other aircraft, an A330-300, which until the COVID-19 crisis, was used on regular flights from Lisbon to resorts in the Caribbean.
Orbest is the sister carrier to fellow Barceló Group member, Evelop Airlines (E9, Palma de Mallorca). The Spanish operator has a fleet of two A330-200s, four A330-300s, and two A350-900s.

Orbest Airlines extends scheduled service suspension to July 2020
Orbest Airlines in recent schedule update revised planned scheduled service resumption, now scheduled in late-July 2020. As a result of the ongoing delay, planned service to Varadero is now scheduled to commence in August 2020.
Lisbon – Cancun eff 19JUL20 1 weekly (2nd weekly 04AUG20 – 08SEP20)
Lisbon – Punta Cana eff 20JUL20 1 weekly (2nd weekly 07AUG20 – 04SEP20)
Lisbon – Varadero 01AUG20 – 03OCT20 1 weekly, new route (Previously scheduled from 30MAY20)

Orbest plans Lisbon – Varadero service from late-May 2020
Orbest Airlines from late-May 2020 plans to offer new route to Cuba, where the airline schedules Lisbon – Varadero nonstop service. Operated by Airbus A330-900neo, the airline plans once weekly flight from 30MAY20. Planned launch date is subject to change, pending on ongoing situation.

Portugal's Orbest eyes US flights
Orbest (Portugal) (6O, Lisbon) is planning to begin flights to the United States as revealed in its recent application to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for a Foreign Air Carrier Permit.
The Portuguese leisure specialist said it plans to operate both scheduled and chartered passenger flights between the European Union and European Common Aviation Area, and the United States and beyond. No precise details concerning proposed routes were revealed in the application.
Orbest currently operates one A320-200 (wet-leased to sister carrier Evelop Airlines and one A330-300 (used for Caribbean flights).

Orbest takes delivery of maiden A330-200
Orbest took delivery of its first A330-200.
The aircraft, formerly EI-EZL (cn 802) with Italian carrier Meridiana fly (IG, Olbia), will become CS-TRX on the Portuguese registry shortly.

While the exact routes have yet to be confirmed, Calima Aviación announced the signing of a contract with Spanish tour firm, Viajes Barceló, in June in which it would operate flights from Spain to Punta Cana, Cancún and Varadero, pending Spanish government approval, until September.
