Eastern Air Lines schedules first commercial flight for May 30


Eastern Air Lines (Miami Int'l) is set to make its debut later next month with charter flights between Miami Int'l and Washington National. The flights, scheduled for May 30, will cater for sixty American War Veterans bringing them to the US capital where they will tour various War Memorials.
The start-up took delivery of its first aircraft, N276EA (msn 35070), formerly 5Y-KYB with Kenya Airways (KQ, Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta), in December last year as part of plans to operate ten of the type under a Part 121 certificate.

Surinam Airways and Eastern Air Lines Announce Strategic Partnership

November 13, 2014 - Surinam Airways and Eastern Air Lines Group, Inc. announced today a strategic partnership between the two airlines, encompassing cooperation in the areas of operational support, maintenance, and training.

The partnership will eventually include mutual support in sales and marketing.

Eastern Airways expands Saab 2000 fleet

Eastern Airways is expanding the size of its Saab 2000 fleet to nine with the introduction of an extra aircraft. The regional airline, which provides a comprehensive domestic network of scheduled services, and is the UK’s leading provider of fixed wing air services for the oil and gas industry, will see the Saab 2000 entering service in the coming weeks.

Eastern Air Lines Group, Inc. files with the U.S. Dept. of Transportation as the first step in launching the new Eastern Air Lines

MIAMI, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eastern Air Lines Group, Inc., ("Eastern") has filed an application with the United States Department of Transportation for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. Eastern plans on commencing its Part 121 certification with the Federal Aviation Administration shortly and has retained legal counsel and consultants for this purpose.
