Uni-Top takes delivery of first A300 freighter

Uni-Top Airlines (UW, Wuhan) has taken delivery of its first A300-600(F), B-2330 (cn 763), following P2F conversion with EADS Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EADS EFW) in Dresden, Germany. 

 The aircraft is the first of seven ex-China Eastern Airlines (MU, Shanghai Hongqiao) A300-600s the freight specialist acquired last year, to complete conversion. The other six are currently works in progress.

 Earlier this year, reports indicated the freighters would be deployed on flights from Shanghai Pudong to Seoul Incheon, Shenzhen, Wuhan, and Osaka Kansai.

Uni-Top awaiting delivery of first A300 freighter

Uni-Top Airlines (UW, Wuhan) will shortly take delivery of its first A300-600(F), currently undergoing conversion with EADS Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EADS EFW) in Dresden, Germany. Once delivered the freight will be deployed into service on flights from Shanghai Pudong to Seoul Incheon, Shenzhen, Wuhan, and Osaka Kansai.

The Chinese cargo specialist acquired seven A300-600s from China Eastern Airlines (MU, Shanghai Hongqiao) in 2013 with plans to convert them all into freighters. 

Uni-Top interested in grounded Grand Star Cargo International

Grand Star Cargo International Airlines is set to take on a new majority shareholder in the form of China-based logistics firm, Uni-Top Group, who have signed a Letter of Intent with current Grand Star majority shareholder, Sinotrans Air Transportation Development Co (Sinotrans Air) for the transfer of their 51% stake. CargoFacts speculates that Uni-Top, owners of Uni-Top Airlines , are likely "interested in securing Grand Star’s Tianjin traffic rights" as well as adding its parked B747-400(F) (B-2427 / MSN 26401) to their current fleet of three older B747-200(F)s. Sinotrans had originally planned to liquidate Grand Star's assets in 2012, but then decided otherwise.
