Evelop Airlines takes delivery of its first A350 XWB


Evelop Airlines, the Spanish carrier of Barceló Group’s Ávoris travel division, has taken delivery of its first of two A350 XWBs, the world’s most modern and eco-efficient aircraft family. The second aircraft will be delivered in 2020.

The A350-900, on lease from Air Lease Corporation, will be based at Madrid Barajas - Adolfo Suárez airport and deployed on long-haul routes to Caribbean destinations. It features a high comfort single class configuration with 432 seats. Passengers will enjoy more personal space, the quietest cabin of any twin-aisle aircraft and the latest generation cabin products, including individual onboard in-flight entertainment.

Evelop Airlines operates an all Airbus fleet of one A320-200, one A330-200 and three A330-300s.



The A350 XWB offers by design unrivalled operational flexibility and efficiency for all market segments up to ultra-long haul (9,700 nm). It features the latest aerodynamic design, carbon fibre fuselage and wings, plus new fuel-efficient Rolls-Royce engines. Together, these latest technologies translate into unrivalled levels of operational efficiency, with a 25% reduction in fuel burn and emissions. The A350 XWB’s Airspace by Airbus cabin is the quietest of any twin-aisle and offers passengers and crews the most comfortable flying experience. At the end of February 2019, the A350 XWB Family had received 852 firm orders from 48 customers worldwide, making it one of the most successful widebody aircraft ever.

Evelop revises A350 long-haul service in May 2019



Evelop Airlines in last week’s schedule update filed revision for planned A350-900XWB long-haul service entry. Revised A350 long-haul service for summer 2019 season as follows.

Madrid – Cancun eff 10MAY19 2 weekly (3 weekly 20JUN19 – 16SEP19)
Madrid – Havana eff 12MAY19 2 weekly (Except selected weeks)
Madrid – Punta Cana eff 07MAY19 2 weekly

Evelop schedules A350 operation from September 2019



Spanish carrier Evelop Airlines this week filed aircraft changes in the GDS, as the airline prepares service entry of Airbus A350-900XWB aircraft. Initially reflected under FlexFlight’s W2-coded flight numbers since late-September 2018, following Evelop Airlines’ E9-coded flight numbers also displaying A350 service starting this week.

Intrepid Delivers One New Airbus A330-300 to Evelop Airlines

Intrepid Aviation announced today that it has delivered one (1) new Airbus A330-300 to Evelop Airlines. The aircraft is powered by Rolls Royce 772B engines and is subject to a long-term lease to the airline.

“We very are pleased to be taking delivery of Evelop’s third A330-300 and our first brand new aircraft of this type, thanks to our close working relationship with Intrepid Aviation. The aircraft will be put into operations primarily on our Caribbean routes and will contribute to our ongoing growth,” says Evelop’s Managing Director, Emeterio Lorente Herce.

Evelop Airlines to lease an A330-300

Evelop Airlines will bolster its widebody fleet with the lease of an A330-300 this coming winter season. Spanish newswire Preferente reports the leisure carrier's board voted to source an A330-300E, cn 1691, from US lessor Intrepid on a ten-year contract.

An additional aircraft, believed to be an A330-200, will be sourced from the Air Lease Corporation though its delivery date is thus far unknown.

Spain's Evelop Airlines to start Lisbon - Cancun flights

Evelop Airlines is looking to begin weekly Lisbon to Cancún flights this summer airline representatives told a press conference at the recently ended International Tourism Fair in Madrid (FITUR). According to the carrier, no exact date or frequency of flights has yet been announced as talks between airline management and the relevant authorities are still ongoing.

Owned by the Barceló Viajes travel group, Evelop specializes in leisure flights throughout Spain as well as to Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic, using two A320-200s and an A330-300. One of the A320s and the A330-300 are wet-leased from Orbest. Evelop plans to add a second A330 to its fleet later this year.

Spain's Evelop Airlines transitions into a scheduled carrier

Evelop Airlines has completed its transformation from a charter operator into a scheduled carrier. With the recent addition of a flight-booking portal to its website, the airline says it will shortly unveil other new enhancements to consolidate its new image as a regular airline.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers a New Leased Airbus A320 to Start-up Evelop Airlines

SHANNON, Ireland, February 25, 2014 – GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced delivery of a leased Airbus A320 to the Spanish start-up airline Evelop Airlines.

Evelop Airlines is owned by the Spanish leisure travel group Barceló and currently operates three aircraft from destinations in Europe to the Canary and Balearic Islands and serves outbound passengers from Spain to the Caribbean.

Spanish carrier Evelop Airlines outlines local, Scandinavian routes

Evelop Airlines will venture into the domestic and regional market - Scandinavia in particular - parent firm Barceló Viajes has disclosed. Speaking during a press conference in Tenerife earlier this week, Evelop Managing Director, Emeterio Lorente, said the airline would deploy its fleet of two A320-200s on the following routes: from Lanzarote to Zaragoza, Barcelona El Prat and Bilbao; from Tenerife Sur to Valencia Manises, Zaragoza and Barcelona; from Las Palmas to Menorca and Valencia. In terms of European routes, Evelop will offer flights out of Gran Canaria to Jönköping and Borlänge/Falun in Sweden, Kristiansand in Norway and Turku in Finland. The latter two routes will also see service from Tenerife Sur. Established by Spanish tour operator Barceló Viajes as a means of developing its own independence from scheduled operators, Evelop also operates an A330-300 to the Caribbean.

Spain's Evelop Airlines takes delivery of first sharkletted A320-200

Evelop Airlines (Palma de Mallorca Son Sant Joan) has taken delivery of its first aircraft, an A320-200 (sl), CS-TRM (cn 5642), on lease from charter carrier Orbest. According to the airline, the A320 will be based out of Tenerife Sur and will remain on Orbest's Portuguese AOC until at least the end of April 2014. Once transferred to Evelop's Spanish AOC, another A320 will be based out of Las Palmas during Winter while the Orbest A330-300, CS-TRH (c/n 833), will be based out of Madrid Barajas.
