French Blue confirms South Pacific debut for mid-2Q18




French Blue (BF, Paris Orly) has confirmed it will begin scheduled flights to French Polynesia with effect from May 2018 onwards.


In a statement issued shortly after the proposed service secured the Pacific archipelago government's consent, the Groupe Dubreuil unit said its Paris Orly-Papeete via San Francisco, CA service would operate 2x weekly initially growing to 3x weekly during the high season. Operations are onboard A350-900 equipment.


The France-Tahiti market is currently the preserve of Air France and Air Tahiti Nui.

French Blue moves A350 debut to late-August 2017



French Blue in recent schedule update has further revised to its planned Airbus A350-900XWB service. Previously scheduled inaugural on 08AUG17, Paris Orly – St. Denis de la Reunion route, is now being delayed to 22AUG17. This is the 2nd delay filed by the airline.

The A350-900XWB will operate this route 4 times a week, along with the A330-300. The following schedule only lists A350-900XWB operating flight.

French Blue plans August 2017 A350 service debut

Air Caraibes’ low-cost carrier French Blue has filed planned Airbus A350-900XWB operation, scheduled to enter service in the 3rd quarter of 2017. From 01AUG17, the A350 will serve Paris Orly – St. Denis de la Reunion route 4 times a week, replacing A330-300. The airline’s overall frequency is up to 8 weekly flights.


Configuration of the A350-900XWB is W35Y376, with Economy Class in 3-4-3 layout. The following schedule only highlights A350 operation on this route.

French Blue commences operations



French Blue (BF, Paris Orly) inaugurated commercial operations on Saturday, September 10 with the launch of its Paris Orly-Punta Cana, Dominican Republic return service.
Operations are on-board the LCC's sole aircraft - A330-300HGW F-HPUJ (cn 1727).
Though it currently operates flights to the Caribbean (using sister carrier Air Caraïbes's traffic rights), French Blue will, in 2017, reorient itself towards the Indian Ocean where it will serve Mauritius and St. Denis de la Réunion.
In total, it will operate a total of two A330-300s and two A350-900s.

French blue Files New Route in Nov 2016 Share



Air Caraïbes’ low-cost unit French blue has filed additional route for planned service due to commence later this year, which is now appearing in the OAG, GDS timetable listing, and available to book via Air Caraïbes’ “TX” coded flight numbers. From 10NOV16, the airline’s second route is scheduled to be Paris Orly – San Salvador (Bahamas) – Santo Domingo – Paris Orly, operating once a week.

Air Caraïbes will continue to serve Santo Domingo with twice weekly flights (operating as Paris Orly – Port-au-Prince – Santo Domingo – Paris Orly). Service for San Salvador is currently not available.



Previously reported on Airline Route, French blue is scheduled to operate first service on 10SEP16, operating Paris Orly – Punta Cana route twice a week. A 3rd weekly flight will be added from 14OCT16 (previously reported as 04NOV16).

First French Blue A330 is taking shape

The first A330 for the brand new airline French Blue is taking shape in the Airbus Final Assembly Line, in Toulouse. The new airline unveiled by the Groupe Dubreuil on March 17th will be the first French long haul low cost carrier.

French Blue will start its own operations next September on routes to Punta Cana (Dominican Republic).



The Groupe Dubreuil, already operates an all Airbus long range fleet comprising five A330s.
