GECAS Regional Aircraft Group Delivers Three Leased Embraer E195s to BoraJet Airlines

SHANNON, Ireland – August 21, 2015 – GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced its Regional Aircraft Group completed delivery of three leased Embraer E195 aircraft to BoraJet Airlines.

BoraJet is a privately owned regional carrier based in Istanbul. It currently operates a fleet of 14 aircraft to 19 destinations in Turkey and surrounding areas.

Formed in 2000, GECAS Regional Aircraft Group leases nearly 400 turboprop and regional jet aircraft to airline customers worldwide. Among leading industry lessors, GECAS has the broadest product mix of turboprop and regional aircraft in the world including ATR, Bombardier and Embraer aircraft.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers Leased Boeing 767-300ER to Icelandair

SHANNON, Ireland – August 20, 2015 – GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced delivery of a leased Boeing 767-300ER aircraft to Icelandair.

Icelandair currently operates a fleet of 24 passenger aircraft from its Iceland hub to connect 26 cities in Europe with 14 cities in North America.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers New Boeing 787 to TUI Travel in Purchase-and-Leaseback Deal

SHANNON, Ireland, June 10, 2014 – GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing arm of GE, today announced delivery of a new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner to TUI Travel as part of a purchase-and-leaseback transaction.

A second 787 aircraft is scheduled for delivery to TUI Travel later this month.

 As part of its wide body strategy, GECAS placed an order directly with Boeing in September 2013 for 10 of the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner models. These aircraft are scheduled for delivery beginning in 2019.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers New Leased Airbus A320 to Aigle Azur

SHANNON- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced delivery of a new leased Airbus A320 aircraft to Aigle Azur to expand the carrier’s fleet. The aircraft comes from GECAS’ existing order book with Airbus.

GE Capital Aviation Services To Lease Five New Boeing 737-800s to Hainan Airlines

BEIJING, March 26, 2014 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced it will lease five new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Hainan Airlines to help expand the carrier's fleet. The aircraft, scheduled for delivery in 2015, come from GECAS’ existing order book with Boeing.

Hainan Airlines is a longstanding GECAS customer and is the largest private airline in the People’s Republic of China. It operates a fleet of more than 120 aircraft to more than 90 destinations.

GE Capital Aviation Services Signs Purchase-and-Leaseback Deal with TUI Travel for Two Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners

SHANNON, Ireland, March 13, 2014 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced a purchase-and-leaseback agreement with TUI Travel for two new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.

 The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in May and June 2014 and will become the first 787 models in the GECAS fleet.

 GECAS placed an order directly with Boeing in September 2013 for 10 of the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner models. These aircraft are scheduled for delivery beginning in 2019.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers Four New Leased Boeing 737-800s to VRG Linhas Aéreas S. A.

SÃO PAULO, February 28, 2014 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced delivery of four new leased Boeing 737-800 aircraft to VRG Linhas Aéreas S. A. to expand its fleet.

The aircraft were part of a purchase-and-leaseback transaction between the airline and GECAS. The first aircraft delivered in December 2012; two delivered in 2013; and the final delivered late last month.

VRG Linhas Aéreas, the parent company of Gol, is the second largest carrier in Brazil, operating a fleet of 140 aircraft to some 70 destinations.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers a New Leased Airbus A320 to Start-up Evelop Airlines

SHANNON, Ireland, February 25, 2014 – GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced delivery of a leased Airbus A320 to the Spanish start-up airline Evelop Airlines.

Evelop Airlines is owned by the Spanish leisure travel group Barceló and currently operates three aircraft from destinations in Europe to the Canary and Balearic Islands and serves outbound passengers from Spain to the Caribbean.

GE Capital Aviation Services to Lease Two Boeing 737-800 to Jeju Air

SINGAPORE, December 19, 2013 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced it signed a lease agreement with South Korean low-cost carrier Jeju Air for two Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2014 to expand the carrier’s fleet.

Jejuair currently operates 13 Boeing 737-800s, its first delivered in 2008. It maintains three domestic routes and 15 international routes. Jeju Air has seen 30 percent annual passenger growth the last three years.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers New Leased Boeing 777-36NER to Kenya Airways


SEATTLE, Oct. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing (NYSE: BA) has delivered a 777-300ER (Extended Range) to GE Capital Aviation Services for lease to Kenya Airways. It is Kenya Airways' first 777-300ER and the largest airplane in the carrier's fleet, providing greater capacity, range and improved operating economics for its long-haul operations.

"The delivery of this Boeing 777-300ER aircraft marks a key milestone for us at Kenya Airways. Its long-haul capability is a perfect fit for our network expansion plans as it will enable us serve our existing long range markets much more effectively and facilitate the opening of routes in the near future," said Kenya Airways' Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Titus Naikuni. "This is an important step as we continue opening up Africa to the rest of the world."



The Boeing 777 is the world's most successful twin-engine, long-haul airplane. Kenya Airways' 777-300ER is configured with 400 seats, 28 in Premier World and 372 in Economy, and features USB ports, power sockets and an all-new in-flight entertainment system throughout the cabin. The airplane can fly up to 7,825 nautical miles (14,490 kilometers) and is equipped with GE90-115B engines, the world's most powerful commercial jet engine.



Kenya Airways is set to take delivery of a further two 777-300ERs, including an additional lease, as part of the carrier's 10-year strategic plan dubbed 'Project Mawingu.' The Nairobi-based carrier plans to increase its fleet size from 44 airplanes to 107 by 2021 and destinations from the current 62 to 115. Currently the airline operates an all-Boeing long-haul fleet of four 777-200ERs and six 767-300ERs.

"The 777-300ER will be an excellent addition to Kenya Airways' rapidly expanding long-haul fleet, providing it with greater capacity, range and flexibility on new and existing routes," said Van Rex Gallard, vice president of Sales for Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. "We look forward to working in close partnership with Kenya Airways to provide it with exceptional airplanes as the carrier continues its ambitious growth plan to offer passengers a wider choice of destinations coupled with enhanced in-flight comfort."   

With this delivery, Kenya Airways is also working with Boeing to support the Alaskan Sudan Medical Project (ASMP) by carrying 10,400 lbs (4,717 kilograms) of humanitarian supplies on the 777-300ER's delivery flight to Kenya. ASMP will use the supplies to build medical clinics, drill water wells and construct bio-sand filters for clean water in the Jonglei region of South Sudan. The humanitarian cargo will also include water pumps and agriculture equipment to support local farmers, fulfilling the ASMP's mission statement of saving lives through health, clean water and agriculture.

Kenya Airways operates a fleet of more than 25 Boeing airplanes including, 777s, 767s and 737s. The carrier serves more than 60 destinations across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe and has nine 787 Dreamliners currently on order from Boeing.

GE Capital Aviation Services Completes Delivery of Eight New ATR72-600s to Azul

SAO PAULO, August 26, 2013 – GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced it delivered an eighth new ATR72-600 to Brazil’s Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras S/A. This leased aircraft came from GECAS’ existing order book with ATR.

Three of the new ATRs leased to Azul came from GECAS’ order book. Five of the ATRs came from Azul’s order book with the manufacturer and were part of a purchase-and-leaseback transaction with GECAS.

Azul operates a fleet of some 118 aircraft to more than 103 destinations.

GE Capital Aviation Services Asset Management Services Introduces Boeing 777-200 to Parts Inventory



MEMPHIS, August 16, 2013 -- GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced the introduction of a new product for its Asset Management Services (AMS) parts business … a current generation Boeing 777-200.

The 777-200 aircraft, powered by Rolls Royce engines, is currently being dismantled at GECAS AMS’ teardown facility in the US. “This 777 acquisition complements our global growth strategy. Many of the components harvested off this aircraft will be located at our distribution warehouses in the UK and Singapore. GECAS AMS is committed to positioning forward deployed support inventories for our customers in these markets in addition to expanding our sales presence across the globe,” said VP Sales & Marketing Seamus O’Donnell.



GECAS AMS, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, is one of the largest worldwide distributors of recertified aviation components for Airbus, Boeing, and Bombardier aircraft. The parts trader has an inventory of 80,000 part numbers, located in warehouses in the U.S., Great Britain, and Singapore.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers Two New Leased Boeing 737-800s to Pegasus Airlines

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, August 5, 2013 – GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced delivery of two new Boeing 737-800s to Turkish low cost carrier Pegasus Airlines following a purchase-and-leaseback transaction.

The two aircraft come from Pegasus’ existing order book with Boeing and were delivered in January and June. They will expand the airline’s current fleet of 45 aircraft.

Pegasus Airlines operates flights to 72 destinations in 30 countries.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers Leased Airbus A320 to New Customer Tianjin Airlines



BEIJING, July 11, 2013 – GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced delivery of a leased Airbus A320 to new customer Tianjin Airlines to expand the carrier’s fleet. Tianjin Airlines operates a fleet of more than 75 aircraft to some 60 destinations in China.



GECAS was the first commercial aircraft lessor in China and currently leases aircraft to 23 different Chinese customers, including Tianjin. GECAS maintains a strong local presence with established offices in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

GE Capital Aviation Services Delivers 10th Airbus A320 to Japan’s Peach Aviation


HONG KONG, June 26, 2013 – GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced delivery of a new leased Airbus A320 to Japan’s Peach Aviation to help expand the low-cost carrier’s fleet.

The aircraft is the 10th A320 in its fleet – all leased from GECAS. The first aircraft was delivered to Peach in November 2011. All 10 aircraft were part of GECAS’ existing order book with Airbus.

Inaugurating scheduled service in March 2012, Peach currently operates flights to destinations in Japan as well as Hong Kong, Seoul, and Taipei.~
