FLEET - AirSial (Pakistan) has signed an agreement with DAE Capital (UAE) to acquire two additional A320 aircraft delivering in 2027

 The additions will bring the total fleet to 15 aircraft.

Pakistani airline Air Sial is getting two more Airbus A320s on dry lease. These aircraft will join the airline fleet in early 2025. The airline chairman shared photos of them signing an agreement with aircraft leasing company BOC Aviation. Right now the airline has 5 Airbus A320 in its fleet. The airline started its operations with 3 Airbus A320s and added two more A320s as soon as it began its international flights.

Air Sial has also announced it is starting flights to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 30th October 2024 from Islamabad. The airline currently serves 5 domestic destinations from Karachi, including Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Peshawar and Quetta. It connects Quetta with Lahore as well.

And internationally it is flying to Jeddah, Madinah and Dammam in Saudi Arabia from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. And from Karachi, it also flies to Muscat. From Sialkot, it flies to Jeddah, Madinah and Muscat.

FLEET - AirSial Acquires Airbus A330 on Wet Lease

On November 18, Hifly Malta Airbus A330-200 registered in Malta as 9H-HFL arrived in Karachi to join AirSial fleet as a wet leased aircraft.

AirSial to operate Airbus A330 flights on routes including:

Lahore-Jeddah-Lahore
Lahore-Dubai-Lahore

FLEET - AirSial inks deal with BOC Aviation for two A320s

 
AirSial (PF, Karachi International) has reached an agreement with BOC Aviation to lease two A320-200s, with both aircraft due to arrive in early 2025. The two parties signed the agreement in Dubai on August 22. The additions will boost the AirSial fleet to seven aircraft.

The privately owned airline says the extra aircraft will allow it to expand and strengthen its domestic and international route network. The ch-aviation schedules module shows AirSial operates to Islamabad International, Lahore International, Karachi International, Multan, Sialkot, Jeddah International, Dammam, and Muscat. In late October, the carrier is adding Riyadh to its schedules.

In June, ch-aviation reported on comments AirSial officials made to Pakistani outlets concerning new aircraft. The reports stated that the airline was looking to acquire five more aircraft to expand its international services and that talks with suppliers were underway. Ameen Ahsan , CEO of AirSial, told ch-aviation this week that negotiations for the additional three aircraft were continuing.

AirSial approved for scheduled int'l ops

AirSial (PF, Karachi Int'l) has been authorised by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PkCAA) to operate scheduled short-haul international flights but must first expand its fleet.

"The first international flight is expected to take off in early October," Chief Executive Ameen Ahsan told business publication Profit.

The permit issued on August 18, 2022, allows the privately-owned carrier to operate to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Iran, and Iraq. However, in accordance with Pakistani regulations, the carrier must have a fleet of at least five aircraft before it can venture abroad. The ch-aviation fleets advanced module shows that, as of now, AirSial's fleet comprises only three A320-200s although a fourth is due for delivery shortly. The airline did not respond to ch-aviation's request for comment.

AirSial launched in late 2020 and secured international traffic rights a year later. However, it has so far only been allowed to operate non-scheduled charter flights outside of Pakistan. Its scheduled network currently covers tier I Pakistani airports namely Karachi Int'l, Islamabad Quaid-e-Azam Int'l, Lahore Int'l, and Peshawar.

The Pakistani Prime Minister Imram Khan has granted approval for start-up airline Air Sial (SIF, Sialkot), Dawn TV has reported. The airline intends to launch operations in 2019.

The start-up is owned by the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industries and will operate out of Sialkot in cooperation with local businesses. So far, no further business plans have been revealed.

Air Sial initially planned to launch by the end of 2016.



Sialkot is one of Pakistan's most industrialised cities and, as such, is a key hub for the country's import and export flows. The airport in this north-eastern city currently sees 54 weekly scheduled departures, mostly to the Gulf countries, as well as domestically to Karachi Int'l. Sialkot is set to see its first European route to Paris CDG via Barcelona El Prat, operated by PIA - Pakistan International Airlines, as of January 19, 2019.
