DanubeWings announces continuation of Kosice flights

 DanubeWings has announced that it would in fact continue operating twice weekly scheduled ATR72-200 services linking Bratislava and Kosice, at least until October 25. It will however only sell tickets through its ticket offices at both airports for the time being.

DanubeWings suspends scheduled operations effective immediately

 

DanubeWings (V5, Bratislava) has confirmed to planecrazy.sk that it has suspended its scheduled flights between Bratislava and Kosice effective immediately therefore dropping its last scheduled service. While two of its three ATR72-200s are currently stored for maintenance, it will likely continue to operate its third ATR72-200 OM-VRD on charter services for the time being.

DanubeWings offers half of its fleet for sale and reduces Kosice

DanubeWings  has put two of its four ATR72-200 up for sale. The offered aircraft are OM-VRA (c/n 373) and OM-VRB (c/n 367) which is currently stored at Bucharest Otopeni. With OM-VRC (c/n 307) also stored at Bratislava the airline is left with only one operational aircraft. As a result, the airline will reduce its key Bratislava – Kosice flights drastically and only operate scheduled flights two to three times per week.
