The Buffalo buys its first jet, a 737, to meet next-day demand

Buffalo Airways has acquired a Boeing 737, the NWT-based airline’s first jet aircraft, to meet customer
demand for next-day freight delivery.
The 737-300SF is in Bournemouth, England receiving checks and new parts before arriving in the Northwest Territories for Final upgrades specific to Canadian flight regulations.
For Buffalo, famed for continuing to operate World War Two-era DC-3 aircraft, the move into jet aviation
is a signi!cant step.

Yesterday, Indonesia and a 35 year old Boeing 737

Jayawijaya Airways at Jayapura on Oct 22nd 2021, overran runway on landing at Jayapura's runway 30 at about 09:3AM.

It overran the end of the runway and skidded sideways by about 50 meters/170 feet. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained minor damage.

The aircraft was towed back onto paved surface and the runway returned to service at about 1PM. All is good. Blessed by God.

Jayawijaya Dirgantara established in 2012, and began operations in 2013 and based in Jakarta. Initially the airline was only a Boeing 737-200 (PK-JRB ) This airline serves the transportation of goods and cargo from Jayapura to Wamena, Papua, Indonesia.

On 18 August 2018, Garuda Indonesia signed an MoU agreement with this airline relating to the distribution of cargo from Jayapura to Wamena.
