FLEET - LATAM unveils its first E195-E2, already painted at the Embraer factory.

Deliveries to the company will begin in the last quarter of this year.

The incorporation of the E195-E2 by LATAM includes a firm order for 24 aircraft, valued at approximately US$2.1 billion (list price), plus 50 purchase options. Deliveries to LATAM Airlines Brasil will begin in the last quarter of 2026, and the first destinations to be served by the model will be announced soon.

ORDER / EMBRAER - Azorra Places Additional Firm Order For 15 Embraer E195-E2

• E2 program surpasses 500 total orders and Azorra surpasses 50 E2 orders
• New agreement also secures purchase rights for another 15 aircraft for Azorra

Embraer and Azorra have signed an additional firm order for 15 E195-E2 aircraft, with purchase rights for 15 additional jets, further strengthening the long-standing partnership between the two companies.

With this new agreement, Azorra’s total firm E2 orders increase from 39 to 54 aircraft, reinforcing growing demand and confidence in small narrowbody aircraft. This marks the third increase to Azorra’s original E2 order, first placed in December 2021.

The order also marks a milestone for Embraer’s E2 program, taking the total number of E2 orders beyond 500 aircraft. Since entering service, the E2 family has continued to build momentum with more than 200 aircraft in operation and 24 airline customers, allowing them to right-size capacity, improve fuel efficiency, and enhance passenger comfort.

The E195-E2 is Embraer’s largest commercial aircraft and is recognized for its low fuel burn, reduced emissions, quiet operation, high reliability and outstanding passenger experience. Its two-by-two seating configuration means no middle seats, offering passengers more comfort while giving airlines the flexibility and efficiency needed to serve a wide range of markets.

This new order from Azorra will be added to Embraer’s 2026 second-quarter results and backlog.

KLM Embraer 195 E2 back into service after a temporary grounding at Twente Airport

In 2024, KLM Cityhopper temporarily parked four Embraer 195 E2 aircraft at Twente Airport due to problems with engine availabillity. To provide optimal protection for the aircraft during this period, they were innovatively encased in a so-called “cocoon.” Engine availability has since returned to normal, and the aircraft can gradually return to service. This week, the second aircraft will be unpacked.

KLM Cityhopper’s Embraer 195 E2 aircraft are equipped with engines from the Pratt & Whitney GTF series. In 2024, this manufacturer faced issues regarding engine availability, temporarily rendering the aircraft unusable. Twente Airport, part of Technology Base, proved to be an extremely suitable location for temporary storage. In addition to operational capabilities, the airport also offers facilities for testing, training, and technical maintenance.

Careful preparation and innovative protection

Before the four Embraer 195 E2s were parked at Twente Airport in 2024, they were prepared for long-term storage in accordance with the instructions of aircraft manufacturer Embraer. Engines, auxiliary power units (APUs), and batteries were removed from the aircraft. The aircraft were then completely wrapped in special film—a “cocoon”—to protect both the exterior and interior from weather conditions and other external factors. The wrapping process took six weeks.

Return to Service

Now that availability from Pratt & Whitney has improved, KLM Cityhopper’s aircraft are being gradually prepared for return to service. This week, one of the aircraft is being unpacked: PH-NXA. The protective cover is being removed, the wheels are being installed, and the aircraft is being prepared for initial testing. The aircraft will then undergo a comprehensive check and an airworthiness inspection. Various modifications will also be implemented, such as the installation of Wi-Fi. This process takes approximately two months, after which the aircraft will be fully available again for KLM Cityhopper operations.

The last two Embraer 195 E2s currently still at Twente Airport are expected to return to service this fall.

ORDER - FINNAIR Selects Embraer E195-E2, Ordering Up To 46 Aircraft

 
São José dos Campos, Brazil, March 23, 2026 – Embraer (NYSE: EMBJ / B3: EMBJ3) and Finnair have signed an agreement for up to 46 E195-E2 aircraft, comprising 18 firm orders, 16 options, and 12 purchase rights. The E195-E2 will replace Finnair’s older aircraft, supporting the airline’s strategy for profitable growth.

Selected for its superior efficiency, reliability, and passenger appeal, the E195-E2 is the quietest single aisle jet available today , and up to 35% more fuel efficient than the previous generation E190s operated for Finnair. With the quietest cabin in the single aisle segment and a comfortable configuration with no middle seats, the E195-E2 reinforces Finnair’s climate targets while enhancing comfort for customers.

The carrier also has a good supply of spare engines available. As for the E190s, they will exit by 2031, and be likely replaced with more E195-E2s. The E175s will remain for now.

FLEET - US’s Avelo Airlines delays first E195-E2 delivery to 2028

Avelo Airlines (XP, Burbank) has delayed the delivery of its first E195-E2 from mid-2027 to 2028, the company confirmed, saying that the schedule for the arrival of its up to 50 regional jets of the type is still in the works.

The US carrier reached a deal with Embraer in September 2025 for up to fifty E195-E2s. On arrival of the first unit, it will become the first US carrier to operate the E2 family. The company’s chief executive Andrew Levy expects the aircraft to have a configuration of 140 seats in a single class cabin configuration.

FLEET - Luxair takes delivery of first E195-E2

Luxair (LG, Luxembourg) has taken delivery of its first E195-E2 ahead of the type's planned entry into service in January 2026.

LX-LEA (msn 19020199) was ferried from São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International via Recife and Gran Canaria to Luxembourg on November 28-29, 2025. The aircraft is the first of six firm-ordered E195-E2s due for the flag carrier of Luxembourg. The airline has options for three more aircraft.
Luxair's E195-E2s will be configured for up to 136 passengers in a single-class layout.

Dubai Air Show, UAE, November 17, 2025 – The Swiss Airline Helvetic Airways has placed a new
firm order for three Embraer (NYSE: EMBJ / B3: EMBJ3) E195-E2 aircraft, with five additional
purchase rights, reinforcing the Swiss carrier’s commitment to modern and sustainable aviation.

The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2026. Each E195-E2 will be configured with
134 seats in a single-class layout, featuring modern Recaro seating, offering passengers comfort
and efficiency.

This latest order will enable Helvetic Airways to grow its E2 fleet from 12 to up to 20 aircraft in the
coming years, strengthening its position as a leading European operator of Embraer’s advanced E-Jet family.

SPECIAL COLOURS - KLM Cityhopper Welcomes 25th Embraer 195-E2

Arrival of our 25th Embraer 195-E2

Following a successful test flight and final inspection at aircraft manufacturer Embraer in Brazil, the 25th Embraer 195-E2 has arrived at Schiphol Airport. This marks a significant milestone in KLM Cityhopper’s ongoing renewal of its European fleet.

Maarten Koopmans, Managing Director of KLM Cityhopper: “This aircraft truly represents the flagship of our KLM Cityhopper fleet. It consumes less fuel and is considerably quieter than its predecessor. In addition, ergonomically designed seats, increased legroom, USB ports, and larger overhead bins offer our passengers enhanced comfort. Quieter and More Efficient
The Embraer 195-E2 uses 15% less fuel per flight and emits 34% less CO₂ per passenger compared to its smaller predecessor, the Embraer 190. It is also 63% quieter, helping to reduce noise pollution around airports. With a capacity of 136 passengers, the 195-E2 is the largest aircraft in the KLM Cityhopper fleet. KLM Cityhopper now operates 61 aircraft, serving 80 European destinations. The newest addition will begin service at the end of September.

Fleet Renewal


KLM is investing seven billion euros in fleet renewal over the coming years. For European routes, this includes not only the Embraer 195-E2 operated by KLM Cityhopper, but also Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft, ten of which have already been delivered. For intercontinental flights, KLM has recently added new Boeing 787s to its fleet. The first Airbus A350 is expected in 2026, followed by the introduction of A350F freighters in 2027. These aircraft will also significantly contribute to reducing emissions and noise levels.

 

FLEET - Airlink: receives the first Embraer E195-E2

The aircraft flew for close to eight hours and a staggering 3,400 nautical miles from Brazil straight to South Africa

The aircraft, registered ZS-ARF, flew directly to Cape Town.

Airlink has a total of 10 E195-E2s on order.

Airlink already operates a fleet of Embraer E-Jets (E135, E145, E170, E190, and E195).

The aircraft will be the largest Airlink has ever flown.

While the E195-E1 has a maximum capacity of 124 passengers, the E2 adds three rows for an additional 12 passengers, allowing it to carry up to 146 passengers in total.

FLEET - Luxair’s first Embraer E195-E2 aircraft emerges with updated livery

Carrier expect deliveries set to start before year-end. First flights debut in 2026

The first image of a Luxair Embraer E195-E2 surfaced online this week, revealing an updated livery as the airline moves forward with its fleet renewal program.
The aircraft was seen outside Embraer’s facility in Brazil, ahead of its scheduled delivery later this year.
Shortly after the image emerged, Luxair released a statement about preparations to receive the new aircraft and also a video showing the computer-generated E195-E2 with the new livery

Luxair has increased its order from four to six E195-E2 jets in 2024, with options for three additional units. The airline expects to begin operating the type in early 2026.
The E195-E2s will be configured with 136 seats in a single-class layout, tailored for Luxair’s European route structure. The sighting of the first E195-E2 marks a significant stage in the airline’s long-term fleet modernization strategy.

FLEET - Mexicana to end B737-800 ops by YE25, debuts E195-E2s

 Mexicana (XN, México City Felipe Angeles) has said it will be ready to end the wet-lease agreements for three B737-800s from Mexico’s armed air forces (Fuerza Aérea Mexicana) in December 2025, after receiving a fourth and a fifth E195-E2s directly from manufacturer Embraer late in the year.

The announcement was made after Mexicana received its third E195-E2, XA-MXC (msn 19020193), which was ferried from São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International to México City Felipe Angeles via Manaus International on August 22 and 23. After receiving the fourth and fifth E195-E2s in November and December, respectively, the company will phase out the three B737-800s wet-leased from the armed forces. In recent months, it already phased out wet-leased E145s from TAR México. Mexicana, a state-owned carrier that is the latest iteration of the former Mexicana (1921), started operations in late 2023.

The carrier debuted the regional jets in its scheduled commercial operations with a flight to Tulum Felipe Carrillo International on August 25. It is the first Mexican airline to operate Embraer’s newest aircraft family.

Mexicana still expects to receive seven more E195-E2s and ten E190-E2s as part of its fleet growth plan.
