XL Airways Germany temporarily suspends operations for winter

XL Airways Germany has announced that it has temporarily suspended operations for the winter season as of December 14 with two of its five B737-800s currently stored at Cologne/Bonn Konrad Adenauer and Dusseldorf International and the other three aircraft on a winter lease with Canjet Airlines. It is yet unclear if it plans to resume operations in summer with its own air operator certificate that has also been temporarily suspended at the carrier’s request or if it will further extend its cooperation with its partner Hamburg Airways that will also fulfill the remaining charter contracts for XL Airways Germany this winter.
