SunExpress has used the last week to commence four new routes to destinations in Austria, Germany and Russia

The average sector length of the new city pairs is 2,204 kilometres, with the shortest airport pair being the 1,576-kilometre service from Ankara (ESB) to Vienna (VIE), while the longest is the 2,725-kilometre operation from Elazig (EZS) to Frankfurt (FRA). The average weekly frequency of the four new routes is just 1.25. Just one of the four new routes will see any direct competition for the airline. All routes will be flown by the leisure carrier’s 737-800s

Sun Air Express to lease three Cessna Caravans

Sun Air Express (6G, Fort Lauderdale Int'l) will wet-lease three Cessna (single turboprop) Grand Caravan 208Bs from Hawaii's Mokulele Airlines (MW, Kona) ch-aviation can exclusively reveal. The turboprops will be used on the Floridian carrier's Pittsburgh Int'l to Altoona, Bradford, and Jamestown, NY services. Until now, Sun Express's fleet had consisted exclusively of Piper (twin piston) Navajo aircraft.
