Atlas Atlantique leasing an A320




Atlas Atlantique Airlines (L5, Nantes) has wet-leased an A320-200 from SmartLynx Airlines (6Y, Riga) to cover its operational needs for the period December 16, 2016 to March 2017.

YL-LCR (msn 984) has first been used on flights from the French carrier's Paris Vatry base to Tlemcen, Algeria.

Atlas Atlantique had previously wet-leased an A320-200 from another Baltic ACMI/Charter specialist, Small Planet Airlines (S5, Vilnius). It specializes in ethnic travel between France and Algeria serving Algiers, Oran, Setif, and Tlemcen from Paris, Carcassonne, and St. Etienne.

France's Atlas Atlantique Airlines to open Paris Vatry base

Atlas Atlantique Airlines is planning to open its first Paris base at Paris Vatry ahead of plans to commence scheduled flights to Algeria and Morocco this autumn.
As previously reported, the carrier, formerly known as Atlantique Air Assistance (TLB, Nantes), will lease an A320-200 for flights to Algier (3x weekly), Oran (7x weekly), Tlemcen (1x weekly), and Setif (1x weekly) in Algeria as well as Casablanca Int'l and Oujda in Morocco beginning this October. Flights will operate from Vatry as well as from St. Etienne, Carcassonne, and Toulon.


The flights are operated in conjunction with Atlas Tours which is affiliated with Air Méditerranée (ML, Lourdes/Tarbes).
