Royal Air Maroc this month temporarily schedules leased Airbus A330-900neo operation, operated by Corsair.

FLEET - Corsair selects Airbus’ Flight Hour Services for its A330neo fleet

MRO Europe, Barcelona, 23 October 2024 - Corsair has signed an Airbus Flight Hour Services Component contract to progressively cover its growing A330neo fleet, starting with the four aircraft delivered in 2024.

FHS (Flight Hour Services) provides component services including on-site stock at Corsair’s main base at Paris-Orly airport. Corsair will benefit from access to Airbus mutualised regional spares pools as well as repair and engineering services for a wide range of aircraft parts.

FHS will enable enhanced aircraft operations thanks to guaranteed service levels and component engineering expertise.

Corsair Takes Delivery Of Its Second Airbus A330neo

A little over a month ago, French charter airline Corsair took delivery of its first A330neo. Yesterday, it was joined by its second sibling. F-HSKA, an Airbus A330-900, which arrived at the all-A330 carrier’s base at Paris Orly Airport on Wednesday, making the short journey north from the manufacturer’s facilities in Toulouse.

F-HSKA took off from Toulouse at 13:27 on May 12th and landed just south of Paris at Orly one hour and five minutes later, at 14:32 local time. The new widebody specimen joins the airline’s first A330neo, delivered in March this year, and another five A330ceos already in Corsair’s fleet.

Corsair takes delivery of its first A330neo

Corsair has taken delivery of its first A330-900, on lease from Avolon, to join the French airline’s fleet.

By selecting a total of five A330neos, Corsair is executing its strategy to become an all-A330 operator. Thanks to the A330neo’s latest technologies, Corsair will benefit from cost-effective and eco-efficient solutions, while providing passengers with the best comfort standards in the quietest cabins in its class.

The aircraft features 352 seats in a three-class layout, providing all the comfort and amenities of Airbus’ leading ‘Airspace’ cabin, including state-of-the-art passenger in-flight entertainment (IFE) and full WiFi connectivity throughout the cabin.

The A330neo is powered by Rolls-Royce’s latest-generation Trent 7000 engines. The Corsair aircraft will also be the first A330neo to feature an increased maximum take-off weight of 251 tonnes. This capability will allow the airline to fly long-haul destinations up to 13,400 km (7,200nm) or benefit from ten tons more payload on board.

The A330neo is a new-generation aircraft and successor to the hugely popular A330ceo widebody family. As well as the new engine option, the aircraft benefits from a host of innovations, including aerodynamic improvements and new wings and winglets that together contribute to 25% fuel-burn and CO2 reductions.

Corsair, which already operates an Airbus fleet of five A330 Family aircraft, became a member of the Airbus Skywise ‘Open Data Platform’ in 2020, thus benefiting from several Skywise-based services, such as a real-time in-service fleet performance analysis capability (aircraft health monitoring), reliability analysis and predictive maintenance.

Corsair International ends B747 operations

Corsair International (SS, Paris Orly) retired all three of its B747-400s earlier this month with the last unit of the type, F-GTUI (msn 26875), ferried to Kemble for part-out on June 15. The aircraft also operated Corsair's last revenue flight of the type on March 25, 2020, from Pointe à Pitre to Paris Orly.

The other two B747-400s owned and operated by the French leisure specialist, F-HSUN (msn 26880) and F-HSEA (msn 26877), were ferried to Kemble on June 9 and June 12 respectively, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The three quadjets are between 27 and 28 years old, the ch-aviation fleets advanced module shows.

Following the retirement of the B747s, Corsair International no longer operates any Boeing aircraft. Its fleet consists of one A330-200 and three A330-300s, all of which are dry-leased. Only two -300s are currently active, connecting Orly with French overseas departments in the Caribbean. The airline also owns one stored A330-200 and one B747SP (derelict at Châteauroux).

Corsair updates W20 A330-900neo operations as of 03JAN20

French carrier Corsair has filed additional routes to be operated by the new A330-900neo aircraft, as the airline extends schedule listing in the OAG until early-February 2021. Planned A330-900neo service during winter 2020/21 season as follows.
