FLEET - USC sells two A340s for teardown


USC (Germany) (XG, Frankfurt International) has sold two A340-600s to UK-based parts supplier Executive Jet Support, which said it would carry out its first teardown project of the aircraft type. The ex-Lufthansa units, msn 771 and msn 846, will be disassembled at Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski, supplying rotables and structural components to the global market. Both aircraft had been stored at Teruel. USC continues to operate two ex-South African Airways A340s, A340-300 D-AUSC (msn 646) and A340-600 D-AUSZ (msn 557), according to ch-aviation data. USC did not respond to a request for comment.

USC AERO New German airline




The company, which was officially founded in November 2020 as Universal Sky Carrier, is planning to offer Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (ACMI)-services with a fleet of two A340s. The new airline will operate out of Frankfurt and will offer passenger- and cargo-flights to customers.

According to the article on the German aviation news site, USC has acquired one Airbus A340-300, which will be registered D-AUSC (646), and one A340-600, which will become D-AUSZ (557). Both A340s are former South African Airways-aircraft and currently parked at Johannesburg.
