Indonesia's Batik Air takes delivery of first A320

Batik Air took delivery of its maiden pair of A320-200 (sl)s, PK-LAF (cn 6164) and PK-LAG (cn 6280), earlier this month Skyliner Aviation reports.
The jets are part of a 2013 order parent Lion Air Group placed with Airbus in 2013 entailing sixty A320ceo, 109 A320neo, and 65 A321neo.

Lion Group’s first Airbus aircraft rolls out of paintshop

A320 for Lion Group’s full service unit Batik Air revealed in its full livery
The first Airbus aircraft for Indonesia’s Lion Group has rolled out of the paint shop hangar in Toulouse, France. With the airline’s colourful livery, the aircraft will be delivered in Q3 2014 and will be operated by Lion Group’s full service unit Batik Air on its growing domestic and regional network.
The aircraft is the first from a major order placed by the Lion Group in March 2013 for a total of 234 A320 Family aircraft (109 A320neo, 65 A321neo and 60 A320ceo).

Indonesia's Batik Air to go international in late 2014

Batik Air will this year increase its fleet to 16 aircraft with the aim of adding 12 new destinations in Indonesia to its network, as well as launch its first international service in late 2014.

Batik Air to launch operations on May 3

Batik Air (Jakarta), the new subsidiary of Lion Air (Jakarta) was originally planning to launch its full-service operations on April 26 from Jakarta to both Balikpapan and Manado. However this launch has been delayed to May 3.
In addition, the new carrier will launch two-class Boeing 737-900ER service from Jakarta to Pekanbaru and Ambon on May 8.

Boeing Statement on Lion Air Commitment to Order 787 Dreamliners

Boeing (NYSE: BA) confirms that Jakarta-based Lion Air announced a commitment to order five 787 Dreamliners for its newly launched premium carrier Batik Air. When finalized, the agreement will be worth $967.5 million at list prices.

Boeing congratulates Batik Air for selecting the 787 Dreamliner and looks forward to finalizing this order.
