ANA on Tuesday 19AUG25 announced its planned international service changes for Northern winter 2025/26 season, effective 26OCT25. Planned frequency changes include the following. ANA amends B777-9 order and firms up MAX-order

All Nippon Airways announced it has decided to amend its order for 20 B777-9s and convert two aircraft into orders for the B777-8F. The new freighters are expected to be delivered in fiscal year 2028.

The airline has also firmed up its purchase agreement signed with Boeing on 29 January 2019 for the Boeing B737MAX. ANA now has firm orders for 20 B737-8s, with options on another ten aircraft. The first MAX8 is scheduled to arrive in 2025 and will be used to replace the B737-800s in the fleet, together with the A320neo/A321neos.

Today, ANA's fleet consists of eleven A320neos, four A321s, 22 A321neos, three A380s, 39 B737-800s, sixteen B767-300ERs, nine B767-300Fs, two B777-200s, eight B777-200ERs, four B777-300s, fifteen B777-300ERs, two B777Fs, 36 B787-8s, 39 B787-9s and two B787-10s.

Japan's ANA adds two B777-8 freighters, firms MAX order

ANA Holdings says it has reached an agreement with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) concerning the make-up of its pre-existing B777X and B737 MAX order commitments.

The holding said it has converted two of its twenty B777-9 orders into B777-8 freighters which should be introduced into service on/after FY2028 (i.e from April 2028 through to late March 2029). ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) currently operates a freighter fleet of nine B767-300Fs (five -ERBCFs and four -Fs) as well as two B777-Fs.

At the same time, ANA Holdings also firmed a 2019 order for thirty B737-8s (20 firm and 10 options). Deliveries, which should have run from April 2021 through to March 2026, should now begin in FY2025 (i.e. April 2025 to late March 2026) and will be used to replace the holding's B737-800 fleet used on domestic Japanese routes. According to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, ANA - All Nippon operates thirty-nine B737-800s which average 9.5 years old of which 29 are owned and the remainder leased.

ANA to Introduce Special ANA Future Promise Aircraft to Highlight Commitment to ESG

TOKYO, June 3, 2022 - All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest and 5-Star airline for nine consecutive years, today announced a new initiative featuring two 787 aircraft with a special ANA Future Promiseblank (AFP) livery and special services focused on promoting sustainability and reducing CO2 emissions. This new dedicated initiative comes a year after the launch of the ANA Future Promise, which encompasses activities across environmental, social responsibility and governance areas.



"Sustainability is a central operating principal to our company and the ANA Future Promise demonstrates commitment to our social responsibility and environmental sustainability goals, and we are excited to get our customers involved and raise awareness in these initiatives with the dedicated AFP 787s," said Shinichi Inoue, President and Chief Executive Officer of ANA. "We previously announced our ambitious ESG goalsblank and this is another milestone to build on the importance that ESG has to our airline and global customers."

The ANA Future Promise aircraft will be introduced later in the fall this year and will be a showcase of ANA's efforts to incorporate sustainability into our services and products.

Two Boeing 787s will be specially painted with a design symbolizing "water and greenery" to convey the concept of sustainability, and will be operated on domestic and international routes (one aircraft each).




The ANA Group has set a medium-to-longterm environmental goal of achieving zero CO2 emissions from aircraft operations by 2050. We will continue to work with our customers and all stakeholders to promote ESG and achieve this goal.

First ANA A380 rolls out of final assembly line in Toulouse

The first A380 for All Nippon Airways (ANA) has rolled out of the final assembly line (FAL) in Toulouse. The aircraft has now been moved to an outside station where various ground tests will be undertaken in preparation for first flight in the coming weeks. The aircraft will then be transferred to the Airbus facilities in Hamburg for cabin installation and painting.

ANA HOLDINGS INC. placed a firm order of three A380s in 2016, becoming the first customer for the superjumbo in Japan. The first delivery is scheduled early in 2019, and the A380 will initially be operated on the popular Tokyo-Honolulu route.

Offering more personal space than any other aircraft, the A380 is the most efficient solution to meeting growth on the world’s most heavily travelled routes, carrying more passengers with fewer flights at lower cost and emissions.

To date, Airbus has delivered 229 A380s, with the aircraft now in services with 14 airlines worldwide.

Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) had taken delivery of its first A321neo, becoming the launch operator of the version of the aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM geared turbofan engines.

ANA’s A321neo is configured for 194 passengers with 8 premium class seats and 186 economy class seats. ANA will start scheduled commercial services on domestic routes from October. The aircraft is the first for the airline to be used on domestic routes equipped with in-flight entertainment system for all seats.

ANA currently operates 16 A320 Family aircraft, with another 29 on order for future delivery. Parent company ANA HOLDINGS (ANA HD) also has three A380s on order.

The A321 is the largest member of the A320 Family and seats between 185 and 240 passengers, depending on cabin configuration. Incorporating the latest engines, aerodynamic advances and cabin innovations, the A321neo offers a reduction in fuel consumption of 15 per cent per seat from day one and 20 per cent by 2020 and can fly up to 4,000 nautical miles (7,400 kilometres) non-stop – further than any other single-aisle airliner.

The A320 Family is the world’s best-selling single-aisle product line and comprises four models (A318, A319, A320, A321) seating from 100 to 240 seats. To date, the Family has won over 13,200 orders and more than 7,700 aircraft have been delivered to some 400 customers and operators worldwide.

TOKYO, March 6, 2017 - ANA, Japan's largest airline, announced today that it has selected "FLYING HONU" as the theme for its limited edition livery to be used on the carrier's Airbus A380, which will be introduced on the Tokyo-Honolulu service, launching in spring 2019. The new route marks ANA's first introduction of the Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger airliner.The aircraft's final design was selected from among 2,197 submissions from around the world, which were received by ANA during an open design contest conducted from Oct. 7-Nov. 30, 2016. An in-house selection committee awarded the grand prize to Chihiro Masuoka of Tokyo, for his concept "Sea Turtle Family," featuring the Hawaiian green sea turtle—a symbol of good luck and prosperity in Hawaii. Mr. Masuoka was awarded a pair of roundtrip business-class tickets for ANA's Tokyo-Honolulu route. In addition to the design contest's grand prize winner, four runners up, including the creators of the design "Stephen+Cayden" from the state of Hawaii, will receive commemorative gifts from ANA.

Known as "Honu" in the Hawaiian language, the green sea turtle is considered a sacred creature, and is widely loved by the people of Hawaii. ANA selected "FLYING HONU" as the nickname to call the special edition aircraft, with the hopes to pass on some of the happiness and luck to its passengers to Hawaii.

ANA Group will be supporting activities in Hawaii to protect the Hawaiian green sea turtle, which is listed by The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as a wild animal in danger of extinction.

ANA is moving forward with preparations to offer new passenger services to coincide with the introduction of the A380, and will provide updates as they become available.

ANA starts to revamp short-haul fleet

Japanese carrier welcomes first of 33 new A320neo aircraft’s new A320neo

Japan’s ANA has started to upgrade its short- and medium-haul fleet, with the arrival of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft.

The airline becomes the first in Japan to operate the new fuel-efficient single-aisle jet. ANA has ordered a total of 33 A320neo series aircraft, comprising seven A320neos and 26 larger A321neos. The order, which was placed in 2014, also included three double-decker A380s.

The new A320neo has been equipped with ANA’s international configuration featuring 146 seats – eight in business class and 138 in economy – and in-flight Wi-Fi.

All 33 A320neos and three A380s are scheduled to be delivered by the end of the 2018 financial year.

ANA - All Nippon Airways has announced it will switch its daily London Heathrow flight from Tokyo Narita to Tokyo Haneda with effect from March 30, 2014. ANA is the latest major carrier to announce a switch from Narita to the more central Haneda in recent months. Given Haneda's proximity to downtown Tokyo, slots at the airport have become a highly sought after commodity. ~

Announcement of Model Change for Boeing 787 Aircraft

 ANA today announces an adjustment to its order for Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The four B787-8 aircraft due to be delivered from fiscal year 2013 onwards will now be replaced by B787-9 aircraft. The decision to order more of the larger 787-9 variant will give ANA greater flexibility as it expands its international route network. The total number of aircraft on order remains at 55, split between 36 B787-8 aircraft and 19 B787-9 aircraft.
ANA is the launch customer for the Dreamliner and has so far taken delivery of seven of the 55 aircraft. The aircraft has entered service on domestic Japanese routes and Haneda - Frankfurt since last autumn. ANA plans to launch long-haul 787 services from Tokyo to Seattle and San Jose on the US West Coast in the current fiscal year.

Boeing and ANA Conclude 787 Service Ready Operational Validation

Boeing (NYSE: BA) and ANA completed the 787 service ready operational validation in Japan over the weekend. As part of the validation, ANA pilots, together with Boeing, flew the Dreamliner on routes from Seattle to Tokyo and Tokyo to four airports across Japan, including Osaka (Itami and Kansai), Okayama and Hiroshima. Maintenance and ground crews from ANA also gained experience with the airplane in the simulated operational environment.
"Giving our team a chance to work with the airplane prior to entry into service was very valuable," said Katsunori Shimazaki, ANA corporate planning senior manager and the airline's leader of the validation. "Our crews are excited to begin operating the first 787 revenue flights later this year."
Teams from ANA and Boeing validated more than a hundred procedures, including towing the airplane, conducting fit checks of ground support equipment, staging electronic flight bag data and completing maintenance actions, among other activities.
"The successful conclusion of this effort further validates our plans for entering the first all-new airplane of the 21st century into service with our launch customer ANA," said Mike Fleming, 787 services and support vice president. "Our teams worked well together and the airplane performed as we expected."
At each airport, hundreds of enthusiasts and reporters gathered to witness the 787's arrival from Tokyo. Combined, several thousand people celebrated the Dreamliner's presence in Japan.
"It has been incredible to see the enthusiasm for the 787 every place we've gone," said Scott Fancher, vice president and general manager of the 787 program. "With its improvements in comfort and environmental performance, passengers are clearly eager to experience the 787 for themselves."
ANA's first scheduled service with the 787 will be either the Tokyo Haneda-Okayama or Tokyo Haneda-Hiroshima route when deliveries begin later this year.
ANA has 55 Dreamliners on order. ANA will deploy the 787 across its route network as an integral part of its strategy to strengthen its position and support its growth and expansion plans.
