Start-up, Air Ghana, obtains AOC, begins West African cargo ops

Air Ghana has officially launched operations after it was granted an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in April. The start-up says it intends to operate a total of five jets over the next three years, of which a first B737-400(F), 9G-AGL (msn 25163), has been leased from Spain's Swiftair.
Operating on behalf of DHL Express, the aircraft was deployed on Air Ghana's maiden route - Abidjan to Lagos via Accra and return - on May 1. ch-aviation
