NEW AIRLINE - Berways (Germany) plans to launch operations in the long-haul holiday flight market from Berlin and Düsseldorf with a premium concept. Founder Louis Zuleger is looking for US$20 million in funds, and plans to acquire three A330s.

Berways is characterized by an outstanding overall product and a convincing price-performance ratio. The newly designed pricing system and the revenue management system, which is geared towards low-cost airlines but has been completely rethought, play an important role in this.
The planning has been completed and the next steps are now beginning. A total of €20 million is required for Berways, of which €12 million is planned for the first three phases. The remaining €8 million will serve as a reserve and for later expansion. The entire financial plan was calculated soberly and conservatively. Nevertheless, we expect Berways to generate significantly better figures than stated in the internal financial plan. Within three years of starting operations, the invested capital and surplus will be recouped, as Berways is profitable despite high service levels and low prices.

The last planned phase will be completed with three aircraft. In the long term, Berways will expand sensibly, but without contradicting its basic concept. European traffic will also play a role in the long term, but to a lesser extent. The main focus remains on long-haul routes to high-demand destinations, especially from Berlin.
